The Ingenium is playing in the Wharfedale/Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Suite 29-120. The Ingenium (SRP: $1,999 with tonearm) is AVID’s entry model and offers numerous high-performance features, including a sapphire bearing system, 2-1/2-inch solid aluminum chassis, carbon fiber tonearm and sophisticated vibration isolation techniques and materials. The Ingenium reproduces music with richly textured, immersive sound.
The Diva II SP, Sequel II SP and Acutus Reference SP turntables are demonstrating the AVID Good-Better-Best display philosophy in the Balanced Audio Technology Suite 29-122. The three turntables offer ever-higher levels of engineering refinement, materials selection and precision manufacturing to deliver extraordinary musical performance.
The Diva II SP (SRP: $4,495) features a machined aluminum platter with vibration absorbing properties that work symbiotically with the chassis. Combined with the turntable’s exclusive low-density self-lubricating bearing system, twin-belt drive and other refinements, unwanted vibrations are all but eliminated. The Diva II SP’s Digital Signal speed control provides precision speed regulation.
The Sequel II SP (SRP: $9,995) takes AVID engineering excellence to an even higher level with a completely purpose-designed suspension system bearing and platter. Its upgraded power supply and motor are drawn from the statement Acutus Reference SP, and its twin-belt drive, single-point bearing, rigid chassis, Digital Signal speed control and other upgrades yield extraordinary musical realism.
The Acutus Reference SP (SRP: $26,995) is the ultimate turntable for those who seek the absolute best in home music reproduction. A work of audio art in its striking, totally distinctive appearance and remarkable sonic performance, it delivers musical realism that simply has to be heard to be appreciated.
The turntable is engineered entirely without compromise with a new twin-belt drive system and outboard 1kVA power supply for ultimate speed stability, a precisely machined sapphire-jewel, sintered-bronze and stainless-steel bearing, a massive 22 lb. platter for utterly quiet operation, a three-point sprung suspension that ensures total isolation from outside vibration and many additional refinements.
With the Acutus Reference SP, listeners will hear dynamic impact and nuance, exquisite sonic details and sonic depth they didn’t think possible from treasured LPs and a level of you-are-there musical realism that is nothing less than astonishing.
