Auralex® Displays Full Range of Acoustic Treatment Solutions
at CEDIA 2012
CEDIA EXPO, INDIANAPOLIS, IN, SEPTEMBER 5, 2012 – Auralex® Acoustics, Inc.(booth 4741), the world’s leading brand of acoustical treatments and soon to celebrate its 35th anniversary, is showcasing its full range of acoustic treatment solutions at the 2012 CEDIA Expo.
Designed with system integrators seeking sound isolation solutions for both new construction and retrofit situations in mind, Auralex’s new SheetBlok-AF™ is a thin, dense isolator with a Class A fire-rated PVC laminate on its surface for a finished aesthetic. Intended to improve sound isolation between adjacent spaces, SheetBlok-AF is at least 6dB more effective than solid lead at stopping the transmission of sound. SheetBlok-AF acts as a sound barrier layer in wall and ceiling systems and is most effective when used as one component of a multi-layered construction scheme. However, SheetBlok-AF can be applied directly over the existing wall, and using Auralex’s proprietary base-coat paint, SheetBlok-AF is fully paintable using any latex paint, coordinating it with any decor. SheetBlok-AF is supplied in 4’x10’ sheets that can be trimmed for custom fit. With careful installation techniques, a virtually seamless appearance will result.
Auralex’s ProPanels are fabric-covered absorbers designed to provide an upscale look with the high-performance absorption qualities that reduce unwanted room reflections (slap and flutter echoes, for instance) to improve the listening environment while affording tasteful aesthetics that complement any décor. ProPanels meet the Class A fire rating and are available in a choice of 12 standard color/fabric options. ProPanels standard sizes include: 2'x2', 2'x4', 4'x8' and 4'x4' wall panels (with beveled or straight edges) and 2'x4' corner panel (with reverse-mitered edge). The 2'x2' and 2'x4' wall panels are available in 1" and 2" thicknesses; the 4'x8' and 4'x4' wall panels and 2'x4' corner panel are available in 2" thicknesses only. Additionally, Auralex offers a wide variety of installation hardware: flat Impaling Clips (standard with all ProPanels orders); and Z-Clips, Cloud Anchors and Snap-On Anchors (available upon request). For more specialized needs, Auralex offers its Custom ProPanels, which can be customized with regard to shape, size and thickness, to serve the diverse demands of today’s integrator. Additionally, Custom ProPanels are available in a wide variety of custom fabrics.
The company is also making available its Free Personalized Room Analysis Service, a cost-effective solution to diagnosing and treating acoustical inaccuracies. The service allows customers to feed information about the environment to Auralex so the company’s Application Specialists can immediately begin evaluating the room’s acoustical needs. Customers fill out a form (online or downloadable) with details about their project and provide diagrams with room dimensions. This information is then used to render an acoustical model of the space and to determine the most effective acoustical treatment plan for the specific room and application.
Also displayed are Auralex’s Sustain Bamboo Sound Diffusors. Diffusion keeps sound waves from grouping by scattering the sound more evenly throughout the room. Sustain Bamboo Diffusors are sustainably grown and harvested and are designed to accommodate each room’s unique acoustical needs and improve the overall sound and "liveliness" of any space.
Additionally, Auralex is showing its new SubDude-HT Subwoofer Isolator, ProPAD Monitor Isolation Pad and ProFusor II Fabric Wrapped Sound Diffusor as part of the company’s comprehensive acoustic treatment solutions.
