FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RedNet® Selected by WH Platts for Atlanta Television Production Facility

Leading system design/build integrator is one of a growing number of firms to embrace
Focusrite®’s RedNet® system

Los Angeles, CA, June 13, 2013 – Focusrite®'s RedNet® networked audio I/O technology is being specified by a number of leading designers, contractors and system integrators – a recent example of which is design/build integrator WH Platts Company, who specified the RedNet system for a high-profile client in the Atlanta area. WH Platts was looking to develop for the client the ability to use pro audio gear in an interconnected network environment as part of this major production facility. They chose RedNet because it best suited the client’s needs and installed five different RedNet I/O units: RedNet 1 – eight-channel AD/DA; RedNet 2 – 16-channel AD/DA; RedNet 3 – 32 channel digital I/O; RedNet 4 – eight-channel remote gain control Mic Pre; RedNet 5 – 32 channel HD Bridge for ProTools HD, which streamlined the operation’s workflow. Paul Yurt, RedNet product specialist, flew in from New York to work closely with the WH Platts design team on-site and to oversee the installation and ensure that it was smoothly integrated and fully operational. All involved are fully satisfied with the result.

David Strupp, Sales Design Engineer for WH Platts, stated, “Our research team looked at all available options for networked audio and choose the RedNet system based on its quality, versatility and ability to scale to the scope of this project.”

Ralph Goldheim, Focusrite Director of U.S. Sales, stated, “We are extremely pleased that such a prestigious firm as WH Platts has chosen to employ our RedNet system for their client’s major production facility in Atlanta, based on extensive evaluation of RedNet’s reliability and performance. We look forward to working with them in the future – providing them the Focusrite products and support they need.”

Rednet is Focusrite’s flagship range of Ethernet-networked studio interfaces, based around the tried and tested Dante Gigabit Ethernet audio networking system. Focusrite’s RedNet is the first to offer IP network audio interfaces for the recording studio – or any application that requires moving high-quality audio around with ultra-low latency. The RedNet system is available now from RedNet Certified Dealers. To discover more about RedNet, head to www.focusrite.com/rednet, where users can sign up to receive regular RedNet updates.
