FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lowell Introduces UL Listed Sound Masking Speakers

— SM810, SM820 and SM410 series of sound masking speakers offer greater conversational privacy and productivity in the workplace —

PACIFIC, MO, February 13, 2013Lowell Manufacturing Company, a U.S. manufacturer of professional A/V products, introduces its new UL Listed SM810, SM820 and SM410 series of sound masking speakers. Designed with contractors and system integrators in mind, the new sound masking speakers offer businesses greater conversational privacy and productivity in the workplace by adding specially shaped ambient noise to an open-office environment.

Each ready-to-install model consists of a speaker (SM810: eight-inch 15W dual cone; SM820: eight-inch 50W coaxial; and SM410: four-inch 15W single cone), factory-wired 4W 70V transformer, 760 cubic-inch steel enclosure (acoustically lined with fiberglass) with grille, and factory-mounted hangers. Models are also available with bridge rails (instead of hangers), which can be quickly added using pre-drilled pilot holes in the enclosure.

The sound masking speakers feature an SG handi-box cover with dual combination knockouts for flex conduit, and a Romex connector for installations without conduit, along with externally accessible input leads and mounting hardware (hangers with S-hooks and four-foot chain for single-point suspension or bridge rails for installation directly on lay-in tile ceiling grid). The enclosure comes with either a black or white finish. All models will begin shipping spring 2013.
