Recording Academy® Producers & Engineers Wing® Continues with Part 2 of Three-Part "Remote Controlled" Online Educational Series


Part 2 will stream on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 12 p.m. PT


Santa Monica, Calif. (February 3, 2021) — As part of its ongoing mission of providing resources for both its membership and the wider industry, the Recording Academy® Producers & Engineers Wing® is hosting a three-part online series titled "Remote Controlled," demonstrating techniques for optimizing home setups for remote recording and streaming.

The Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter will host Part 2 on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 12 p.m. PT, and the session will provide tips and advice for artists and musicians on how to maximize recording sessions while working remotely with a producer and/or engineer. Part 3, produced by the Recording Academy Texas Chapter, will follow on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 12 p.m. PT and will cover best practices and hints for improving livestreaming performances.

Hosted by the Recording Academy Washington, D.C. Chapter, Part 1 focused on home recording for artists and musicians, and premiered on Facebook on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 12 p.m. PT. This segment paired both a vocalist and an acoustic percussionist each with a studio professional to help guide them toward getting the best results.
