FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Rock Cellar Productions Presents
The Care Concert – a Concert to End Homelessness in Southern California

February 18, 2020: Los Angeles, CA On August 29, 2020, Rock Cellar Productions, in cooperation with the Valley Cultural Foundation in Woodland Hills, will present The Care Concert – the biggest and most significant charity concert of the year with proceeds going to help the homeless. Taking place at Warner Center Park in Woodland Hills, California. the concert will feature a diverse roster of celebrated musicians, actors, presenters, a celebrity M.C. and surprise guests. This memorable outdoor concert experience will offer songs of peace, love & understanding, all with the goal of raising awareness and funds for The Get Together Foundation (www.gettogetherfoundation.org), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps families and individuals in need. This will be the sixth annual charity concert and is set to be bigger than ever.

Serving as the house band for the concert is The Tribe, a collective of dedicated musicians and singers – many of them whom you may know – plus a background vocal section and a horn section. At past benefit concerts, The Tribe has been joined by a host of celebrated artists showing their support, including David Crosby, Al Jardine, Jesse Colin Young, Mary Wilson, Carnie Wilson, Micky Dolenz and more. The artist lineup for the concert is still being finalized, but as in past years, it will feature some of the top performers in the history of popular music. Proceeds from last year’s concert funded the opening of a 48-bed homeless shelter and the purchase of a mobile food delivery truck – the CARE-A-VAN – which was purchased within 60 days following the event.

Corporate sponsorships, an exclusive VIP pavilion, a silent auction, and exhibits are all part of this significant fundraising effort with proceeds going to The Get Together Foundation and allied homeless organizations. Supporters of the concert will take part in not only an evening of immense talent, but also the bigger picture – embracing the plight of the less fortunate in the communities of Southern California and beyond.

If you love good music and helping people in need, this is the night for you. It’s going to be a beautiful evening where success and generosity unite to truly impact lives. Come enjoy an incredible night of live music, knowing your contributions will truly make a difference!

Show info:    Saturday, August 29, 2020, music starts at 6:00PM; park opens at 4:30PM

About The Get Together Foundation:
Committed to action since 2004, The Get Together Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to making a difference to our community’s most vulnerable citizens. Our work includes a combination of services helping homeless individuals and families. Immediate services include delivering food, clothing, shelter, and even music to those less fortunate and living in situations less than desirable. Our action-based programs such as ‘Rock & Eat’ pop-up events provide food, live music, and other services to homeless individuals on the street, and our mobile food truck, “Takin’ it to the Streets”, goes out weekly to provide healthy, hot meals to homeless families living in motels and unable to cook or store food. GTF’s long term plans include permanent, innovative housing and support services, and, although we don’t currently have the resources to eliminate the homeless problem, we plan to use money that is raised to create a model for a bigger solution. www.gettogetherfoundation.org
