The Get Together Foundation, in association with Rock Cellar Productions, presents “Project Kids-Care Telethon,” an online charity event helping underserved L.A. kids during the holidays, on Saturday, November 28, 2020, starting at 3:00 p.m. PST / 6:00 p.m. EST.

Upcoming live-streamed event: “Project Kids-Care,” an online charity telethon on Saturday, November 28, featuring dozens of stars


WHAT: “Project Kids-Care,” an online charity streaming telethon event helping underserved children in Los Angeles during the holidays. This six-hour telethon event will feature video performances and appearances from celebrities of all kinds (actors, musicians/recording artists, sports celebrities, TV personalities, and more), with the music theme featuring songs and inspirational messages about Peace, Love & Understanding and the holidays.

WHO: The Get Together Foundation (GTF), in association with Rock Cellar Productions, joined by dozens of stars from music, sports, acting, and more! Project Kids-Care is the latest initiative from Get Together Foundation co-founders Kevin and Mare Wachs and follows the highly successful “ALL TOGETHER NOW – L.A.!” telethon in April, which raised over $125,000 of relief money for the City of Los Angeles Coronavirus Crisis Fund (Mayor’s Fund). Project Kids-Care underscores the foundation’s mission of offering immediate assistance to those in need. 

The following musical performances have been confirmed: Conan O'Brien & Jimmy Vivino with Mike Merritt and James Wormworth, Don Felder, Brian McKnight, Kenny Loggins, The Dirty Knobs featuring Mike Campbell, WAR, Pablo Cruise, Jesse Colin Young, Clifton Davis, Kenny G, Rob Morrow, Jordan Rudess (keyboardist for Dream Theater), Mindi Abair, Marc Broussard, The Immediate Family (Danny Kortchmar, Waddy Wachtel, Leland Sklar, Russ Kunkel and Steve Postell), Lamont Dozier Jr., The Delgado Brothers, Marcella Detroit, Laurence Juber, Rob Bonfiglio with Stephen J. Kalinich,T Bear, The Honeys, Gary Puckett, Hearty Har (John Fogerty’s sons Shane and Tyler), Kevin Eubanks, Trevor McShane, John Pratt, Larkin Poe, Marc Bonilla, CJ Vanston, Freebo & Alice Howe, Rebecca Holden, and The Tribe Band.

Shoutouts and inspirational messages will be included from: Joe Jonas, Jack Black, Dionne Warwick, Anne-Marie Johnson, Jon Anderson (Yes), Michelle Phillips, Devon Allman (Allman Betts Band), City Councilmember John Lee, George Wendt (of Cheers fame), The Boxmasters (Billy Bob Thornton & JD Andrew), Scott Goldman (GRAMMY Museum), Mitch Ryder, Ed Begley Jr. and Dodgers great Steve Yeager. Emcees are set to include multi-award-winning actor David Arquette and musicians Dan Navarro (Lowen & Navarro), Monkees legend Micky Dolenz, and beloved drummer Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Average White Band, Eric Clapton).

Proceeds will go to the following charity organizations for their programs and services for kids: Get Together Foundation (food & shelter); 100 Black Men (mentoring & education); Valley Cultural Foundation (arts & education); Spark of Love Toy Drive (toys & sports equipment); and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (healthcare).

WHEN: Sat., Nov. 28, 2020, starting at 3:00 p.m. PST (6:00 EST) and running approximately six hours.

WHERE: The telethon will be live-streamed through Alert the Globe (www.alerttheglobe.com) and Facebook Live, as well as other online streaming platforms. It’s free to watch, and viewers will be able to donate through a link or text-to-donate in real time.

Additionally, The Project Kids-Care Online Auction will run through December 13, 2020, with proceeds going to support the Get Together Foundation’s programs that serve underprivileged kids of Los Angeles, especially during the Holidays. Auction items range from exotic vacation experiences, to sports and music memorabilia, hotel/restaurant packages, beauty baskets and other items guaranteed to delight and surprise.
