INTEGRATED SYSTEMS EUROPE, AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, February 3, 2009 — Xantech Corporation, a leader in the field of audio/video remote control and distribution for 40 years, displays the new HD88CC5 High Definition Component Video Matrix Switcher, which allows high definition 1080i video and digital audio to be sent up to 1,000 feet over CAT5 cable with virtually no loss in signal quality. The HD88CC5 offers systems designers and integrators unprecedented ease of installation and unrivaled flexibility. This eight-source, eight-zone high-definition matrix switcher has component video and S/PDIF digital audio inputs for each source. Each of the eight zone outputs has coaxial component video output and S/PDIF audio outputs for economical local distribution up to 250 feet, as well as RJ45 outputs for video and digital audio signal transmission up to 1,000 feet to the Xantech HDRXSG01 CAT5 receiver (sold separately) located in each zone. Up to four HD88CC5 units can be chained together to create up to 32 zones on a single system. Furthermore, the HD88CC5 also supports digital audio on all channels, and it can route any source to any zone. The HD88CC5 is an ideal switcher solution for restaurants, sports bars and retail environments.

Setup for the HD88CC5 is simple – there are no DIP switches for skew adjustments, and the unit is controlled via IR remote or RS-232. Both coaxial component video output and CAT5 output are active simultaneously, making it possible to distribute eight sources to sixteen outputs at the same time. The HDRXSG01 receiver automatically senses and compensates for both cable length and wire quality, making installation remarkably simple: it senses cable run length in 20-foot increments and self-adjusts with no switches to set and no charts to consult, removing the guesswork from high definition video distribution over CAT5 wire. The HDRXSG01 receiver mounts in the zone up to 1,000 feet from the HD88CC5 switcher, and installs easily in a single-gang J-box. It contains an RJ45 input for the HD video and digital audio signal, as well as a standard IR and power connection. Outputs include component video, digital audio via S/PDIF connection and IR signal. Gold-plated RCA connectors for video and digital audio output assure optimum signal.

“The HD88CC5’s cost-effectiveness and ease of use set it apart from any other product in its class,” states Rick Seegull, Director of Business Development for Xantech. “The unit is plug-and-play ready, and it has features such as automatic adjustment of the video signal for the best possible picture. The HD88CC5 offers eight-zone/eight-source HD matrix switching at an affordable price.”
