INTEGRATED SYSTEMS EUROPE, AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, February 1, 2011 — Xantech (booth 1L90) expands its LCD touchpanel offerings as it shows a complete series of touch-controlled panels, featuring IP connectivity and video integration. Xantech SmartPanel™ LCD touchpanels all offer complete zone control via RS-422/232, IR, GPIO trigger and now IP for full control connectivity. With SmartPanel touchpanels, users can control audio, video, automation, teleconferencing and other components from one high-resolution, durable, professional-grade TFT display – all of the control processing is right in the panel itself, creating a very efficient room control panel with simplified installation and programming. The Xantech SmartPanel series is perfect for single- or multi-zone residential or commercial applications.

The new units range in screen size from 3.5 inches to 7 inches. All boast super-bright, high-resolution, durable, professional-grade TFT LCD displays. The 4.3 and 7.0 inch models use widescreen displays. SP43 and SP70 feature hard buttons for commonly used controls (on/off, volume up/down, and mute).

SmartPanel touchpanels generate RS-422/232, IR and IP commands for full integration into any system. For commercial and industrial installations, pre-install metal backboxes are available and sold separately for 4.3 and 7.0 inch models. The 3.5 inch SP35G and CSP35GIP fit in standard North American two-gang electrical junction boxes and open-back low-voltage frames. For retrofit applications, all three models can also be installed in hollow walls without a backbox. Additionally, these touchpanels may be used separately as a controller for an entire commercial system, or combined with the MX88 amplifier/controller to unleash that component’s full flexibility and features in a multi-room environment. The units also feature SD card slots for directly importing presentation media.
