Audio-Technica ATUC-50 Digital Discussion System
Employed for University of Central Florida Board of Trustees

— ATUC-50 system provides ease of use and a high level of sound quality for UCF’s Board of Trustees meetings —

STOW, OH, June 8, 2017 — The ATUC-50 Digital Discussion System from Audio-Technica, a leading innovator in transducer technology for over 50 years, has been selected as the discussion system of choice for meetings of the Board of Trustees at the University of Central Florida (UCF), located in Orlando. The Orlando office of CCS Presentation Systems (one of 30 locations nationwide), in coordination with UCF, selected the ATUC-50 based on sound quality and ease of use and recently completed the integration of what is essentially a mobile discussion system, as the quarterly board meetings occur in different places on campus and needed a semi-portable discussion solution.

Fred Grob, CCS Sales Engineer, notes, “The client needed something that was simple to set up and operate and something meeting a high standard of audio quality, and we knew the ATUC-50 would be a good fit for this particular job. The AV team at the university has the whole system in a mobile road case and quickly became versed in setting up and tearing down the system extremely efficiently for wherever the meetings take place on campus. Regardless of what type of room it is and what type of acoustics it has, it’s the same great sounding system. Everyone is very happy with it.”

One advantage of the ATUC-50 system was its customizability. Grob adds, “The system is composed of one ATUC-50CU Control Unit and 34 ATUC-50DU Discussion Units, but there was a request for a different option as far as the microphones themselves. We ended up deciding on the Audio-Technica Engineered Sound® ES915H21 21-inch Hypercardioid Condenser Gooseneck Microphone, which is not the standard unit used with this system but is fully compatible with no issues whatsoever. All together, this system is a very straightforward, elegant solution that meets and exceeds the client’s expectations. I would spec this exact system again without any hesitation.”

David Stoneburner, Multi Media Event Manager, Office of Instructional Resources at UCF, remarks, “Using it for the first time, it was easy to set up, tear down and operate. The system offers great quality and simple operation.”
