GENELEC EXHIBITS
THREE-WAY ACTIVE SPEAKERS
CEDIA EXPO, DENVER, CO, September 6, 2007 —
Genelec Inc., offers home theater and custom installers its extensive
range of three-way active speakers which are designed to provide a high
impact listening experience for the larger home theater/multi-media
room or any surround sound environment. All models employ Genelec’s
proprietary Directivity Control Waveguide Technology™ (DCW™)
which provides excellent stereo imaging and frequency balance even in
difficult acoustic environments. In addition, all models are magnetically
shielded, feature lower noise electronics, have a Signal Sensing Auto-On/Off
Circuit, new crossover electronics and 12V/contact closure strip for
interface to AMX, Crestron or other home automation systems. The amp
panels include a dipswitch pack that allows the installer to turn the
LED indicator on or off. If ON is selected, there is another dipswitch
that enables all LED functions to show standby (yellow) and overload
(red), or only standby. All models are available in Genelec’s
matte Black finish.
The HT312A is a three-way active speaker with a 12"
woofer, 5" midrange (loaded with Genelec’s DCW), and a 1"
metal dome tweeter. It features an integrated electronic crossover and
amplifiers (180 Watt, 120 Watt and 120 Watt), has a frequency response
of 37 Hz to
21 kHz, a maximum SPL of 123 dB and measures 26 3/4" H x 15 3/4"
W x 15" D.
The HT315A is a three-way active speaker with a 15"
woofer, 5" midrange (loaded with Genelec’s DCW), and a 1"
metal dome tweeter. It features an integrated electronic crossover and
amplifiers (400 Watt, 120 Watt and 120 Watt), has a frequency response
of 35 Hz to
20 kHz, a maximum SPL of 124 dB and measures 31 7/8" H x 18 7/8"
W x 16 9/16" D.
The HT320AC is a dedicated center channel, three-way active
speaker with dual 10" woofers, a 5" midrange and a 1"
metal dome tweeter. Both the 5" midrange and 1" tweeter are
mounted in a DCW for optimized directivity control. The HT320AC features
an integrated electronic crossover and amplifiers (2 x 200 Watt, 120
Watt and 120 Watt), has a frequency response of 35 Hz to 20 kHz, a maximum
SPL of 124 dB and measures 13 3/4" H x 37 3/8" W x 17 7/8
D".
The HT324A is a three-way active speaker with dual 12"
woofers, 5" midrange and a 1" metal dome tweeter. Both the
5" midrange and 1" tweeter are mounted in a DCW for optimized
directivity control. The HT324A features an integrated electronic crossover
and amplifiers
(2 x 400 Watt, 350 Watt and 120 Watt), has a frequency response of 33
Hz to 20 kHz, a maximum SPL in excess of 125 dB and measures 27 9/16"
H x 35" W x 15 1/16" D.
The HT324AC is the largest dedicated center channel speaker
in the Genelec Custom Installation line. It is a three-way active speaker
with dual 12" woofers, a 5" midrange and a 1" metal dome
tweeter. Like the HT324A, the HT324AC’s 5" midrange and 1"
tweeter are also mounted in a DCW for optimized directivity control.
The speaker features an integrated electronic crossover and amplifiers
(2 x 400 Watt, 350 Watt and 120 Watt), has a frequency response of 33
Hz to 20 kHz, a maximum SPL of 125 dB and measures 19 1/4" H x
47 5/8" W x 16 1/4 D".
The HT330A is a very powerful loudspeaker system, designed
for large home theaters. It is a three-way active speaker with dual
15" woofers, a 5" midrange and a 1" metal dome tweeter.
Both the 5" midrange and 1" tweeter are mounted in a DCW for
optimized directivity control.
The HT330A features an integrated electronic crossover and amplifiers
(2 x 400 Watt, 350 Watt and 120 Watt), has a frequency response of 31
Hz to 20 kHz, a maximum SPL in excess of 126 dB and measures 32 5/16"
H x 41 1/3" W x 21 5/8" D.

Genelec, the pioneer in Active Monitoring technology,
is celebrating over 25 years of designing and manufacturing active loudspeakers
for true and accurate sound reproduction. Genelec is credited with promoting
the concept of active transducer technology, which many manufacturers
are just now incorporating into their products. Since its inception
in 1978, Genelec has concentrated its efforts and resources into creating
active monitors with unparalleled sonic integrity. The result is an
active Custom Installation speaker system that has earned global acclaim
for its accurate imaging, extremely high acoustic output from small
enclosures, true high-fidelity with low distortion, and deep, rich bass.
