FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AES Membership Month Celebrates All Things Audio with New Status Logos for Members, Updated Refer-a-Friend Program and AES NY Convention Opportunities

— Newly revamped Refer-a-Friend program offers expanded benefits; new logos let members share their status, alongside the expanding list of exclusive AES members-only benefits —

New York, NY, May 31, 2018 — May is Membership Month for the Audio Engineering Society, and the AES continues to push forward with more opportunities for member involvement and benefits than ever before, even as the month draws to a close. Offering extended benefits for the AES Refer-a-Friend membership program, exclusive AES Member discounts, and new ways to show your own membership status to peers and professionals worldwide, there’s never been a better time to join or renew your membership with the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio technology. If it’s about Audio, It’s at AES!

A new addition to the AES Member Portal is the opportunity to download dedicated AES Member graphics denoting their Audio Engineering Society membership status. These new logos can be used for email signatures, social media badges, or any other place where members want to display their Society status and dedication to the art and science of audio engineering. AES Membership logos are also great for linking to members’ AES Member Profiles – their personal page on the AES site, which can be used to share bios, membership activities, credits and work history, external links, awards and other relevant industry information.

Beginning in May, the AES Refer-a-Friend program has expanded benefits so that now both referring members and new or lapsed renewing members each receive their own Discount Credits of 10% of the new member’s membership fee. Accumulated Discount Credits can be used toward anything that can be purchased at aes.org, including AES products, services, convention and event registration, and Membership dues. Details are available at aes.org/membership/referrals.

AES Members can immediately take advantage of special Advance Registration pricing for the upcoming AES New York Convention, taking place October 17–20 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, with deep discounts on All Access badges and complimentary Exhibits-Plus passes through June 15. Technical Program contribution proposals for AES New York are being accepted at www.aes.org/events/145/authors/cfp/ – deadlines as follows:

Research Papers (Category 1 and 2) – May 31
Workshops / Tutorials / Masterclasses (Cat. 4) – June 8
Engineering Briefs (Cat. 3) – August 1

Take advantage of AES Membership, explore all the benefits of membership – including unlimited access to the ever expanding AES E-Library and AES Live: Videos series, the new AES Inside Track online magazine and AES Standards – and find out how you can be a part of the future of the Audio Engineering Society at http://www.aes.org/membership/.
