Delivers TEC Tracks Lecture at Summer NAMM 2016
– Hour-long session focused on “Acoustical Considerations for Houses of Worship” –
Indianapolis, IN, July 6, 2016 – At the recent Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, Eric Smith, Founder and President of Auralex® Acoustics, Inc., the world’s leading brand of acoustical treatments, gave a special lecture to an eager audience, at the convention’s TEC Tracks lecture series, on Friday, June 24.
The hour-long session focused on the subject of Acoustical Considerations for Houses of Worship. Perhaps nowhere is speech intelligibility more crucial than in houses of worship. Clarity is key, but sound quality too often takes a back seat to architecture, leading to unaddressed acoustical issues that can mute the impact of a powerful message. At this exclusive TEC Tracks session, attendees were able to discover techniques for evaluating and controlling the acoustics of their worship environments. Eric Smith shared some of the methodology that he's honed over the last nearly 40 years of treating a wide variety of challenging acoustical environments, including houses of worship. Smith offered a number of different practical solutions for maximizing intelligibility and affordability.
