Jam Band Studio rocks Gainesville, Florida, with its new Carl Tatz Design (CTD) PhantomFocus MixRoom™ Studio
Studio owner Ryan Frankel realizes his vision to build a songwriters’ studio for his hometown.
Nashville, TN: Ryan Frankel’s Jam Band Studio (JBS), a planned vision come to fruition by Frankel and acoustically designed by Carl Tatz Design ® LLC, has opened its doors in Gainesville, Florida. This unique CTD PhantomFocus MixRoom™ Studio’s mission can best be explained by Frankel on the Jam Band’s website: “Jam Band Studio is a non-commercial recording studio created by Ryan Frankel as a project to make music, for the love of music. Being North Florida’s only PhantomFocus MixRoom™ Studio, Jam Band Studio offers a pro-level environment for musicians in the area. At the end of the day music should be fun — without the constant clock-watching involved with regular studios. At Jam Band Studio we can be as creative and weird as we want.”
Jam Band Studio has been designed and constructed from the ground up overlooking bucolic Colclough Pond and features a large 18-foot-high tracking room with a full glass wall facing the pond. So that musicians can play together in the same room without the use of gobos, Frankel specified three acoustically treated amp closets along with a large vocal booth that can also be used for drums.
The Jam Band Studio PhantomFocus MixRoom features a top-tier PFM UHD-1000 Master Reference Monitor System hovering over a Carl Tatz Edition Dual 15L Console by Argosy® with a pair of Silver Mesh Porcelain eChairs™.
