Pensado’s Place and Vintage King Audio to Hold Third Annual
“Gear Expo” in Nashville on Saturday, September 26, 2015

WHO: Pensado’s Place, the acclaimed weekly web series known as the most influential show for engineers, mixers and producers, and its hosts Dave Pensado and Herb Trawick, co-hosting with Vintage King Audio, a leader in professional audio sales, studio consulting, and comprehensive gear servicing, along with leaders from the Nashville recording company, top pro audio manufacturers and beyond.

WHAT: The third annual “Gear Expo,” one of the hottest gear and music-making expos in America, with resources for anyone involved with professional audio, home recording or simply making music. Attendees will once again be able to demo gear, talk directly with manufacturer reps, watch live interviews, mingle with the celebrity guests, listen to live music, win prizes, enjoy local food trucks and more.

Panels and special presentations will include “ELECTRONIC JAM: Machines for Studio and Stage,” featuring viral sensations The Beatbox Family and top electronic musicians; “NASHVILLE’S FINEST: Producers & Engineers Behind the Hits,” featuring songwriter, producer and engineer Emily Wright (Dr. Luke, Katy Perry, Pitbull), engineer/mixer Justin Niebank (Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts), Vance Powell (Jack White), Dave Cobb (Shooter Jennings, Sturgill Simpson) and others; “SHOT CALLERS: Industry Titans,” featuring John McBride (owner of Blackbird Studio and husband of country superstar Martina McBride), Tony Brown (legendary producer and former chair of MCA Nashville) and others; a discussion by women who work in the professional audio and recording industries, on their career paths and unique experiences, including Beverly Keel (Chair, Dept. of Recording Industry at Middle Tennessee State University, and noted journalist) and others; and much more.

U.S. Congressman Marsha Blackburn will be making a special appearance around 11:30 a.m.
