The Recording Academy® continued its insightful Up
Close & Personal series on March 16 coinciding with SXSW in Austin,
Texas (at the Four Seasons Hotel), when the Texas Chapter, in association
with the Producers & Engineers Wing, presented an intimate conversation
with GRAMMY®-winning producer Jimmy Jam moderated by Austin singer/songwriter/guitarist
Charlie Sexton.

The Recording Academy®’s Texas Chapter hosted
its annual Membership Meeting coinciding with SXSW on March 16 at the
Four Seasons Hotel in Austin. The event featured a performance by GRAMMY®
winner Yolanda Adams and an Up Close & Personal interview (in conjunction
with the Producers & Engineers Wing) with GRAMMY-winning producer
Jimmy Jam, moderated by Austin singer/songwriter/guitarist Charlie Sexton.

Established in 1957, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences,

the development of new technologies, recording and mastering recommendations,
and archiving and preservation initiatives. The Wing builds on the existing
regional professional development activities of The Recording Academy,
which include workshops, forums and panel discussions, and other recording
technology-related events, all occurring locally and nationally throughout
