Roland’s JD-Xi Analog/Digital Synth Offers Multiple Synth Engines,
Drumkits, Pattern Sequencer, Vocoder and More

Los Angeles, CA, April 23, 2015 — From regulars on the local music scene to musical novices, everyone can easily create music with the new Roland JD-Xi–the compact, 37-mini key synth with a huge sound and a small learning curve (average U.S. street price - $499).

The JD-Xi offers the best of analog and digital sounds. Two digital synth sections with a large selection of onboard sounds (piano, brass, strings, and more) plus effects help players start making music immediately. Tone tweakers will enjoy experimenting with the analog synth section that features the warm, smooth response of classic waveforms, plus a filter and sub oscillator. In addition, the 4-track pattern sequencer, onboard drum parts and pattern presets make it easy to create and record loops.

A gooseneck microphone and onboard vocoder let users sing into the mic and control their tone and pitch via sounds played on the keyboard, or from a guitar plugged into the guitar input. The AutoPitch feature makes it easy to create exaggerated robotic vocal sounds in the style of today’s popular music.

The JD-Xi can also interact with computer music software via USB, and at less than 5 lbs., it can be used with a laptop for on-the-go music creation and performance.  Axial.roland.com offers additional sets of downloadable sounds for endless inspiration.
