Roland Displays TD-25 Series V-Drums

Expressive, mid-level kits offer high-end playability and quick sound customization

Summer NAMM Show, Nashville, TN, July 8, 2015 — Roland (Booth #924) is displaying the TD-25 Series V-Drums. The series includes two mid-level kits – the TD-25KV and TD-25K – and the TD-25 sound module. These kits offer high-quality sound and natural, expressive playability that rivals Roland’s flagship TD-30 V-Drums. They also include many extras, including quick sound customization, onboard Coach functions, and built-in audio recording.

Roland’s SuperNATURAL technology delivers a superior drumming experience, with Behavior Modeling inherited from the flagship TD-30. The TD-25 module provides a dynamic, interactive feel, with sounds that respond organically to the touch.  Every nuance is detailed, accurate, and smooth.

The snare and toms’ mesh-head pads deliver exceptional feel and response. The cymbals offer a natural swinging motion and support chokes, bow/edge sounds on crash, and bow/edge/bell sounds on the ride.

The TD-25KV includes:

  • Two PD-85BK 8-inch pads for rack toms
  • One PDX-100 10-inch pad for floor tom
  • Two CY-12C 12-inch crash cymbals
  • One CY-13R 13-inch ride cymbal
  • KD-9 Kick Pad with a natural-feel cloth head
  • VH-11 V-Hi-Hat featuring up/down motion and bow/edge sounds

The more affordable TD-25K includes:

  • Two PDX-6 6.5-inch pads for rack toms
  • One PDX-8 8-inch pad for floor tom
  • One CY-12C 12-inch crash cymbal
  • One CY-13R 13-inch ride cymbal
  • KD-9 Kick Pad with a natural-feel cloth head
  • VH-11 V-Hi-Hat featuring up/down motion and bow/edge sounds

The TD-25 module’s streamlined interface features a large dial for quick kit selection. Sounds can be edited simply by striking a pad and using knobs to change instruments and adjust tuning, muffling, and levels. Toms can be conveniently edited as a group, and kit changes are saved automatically. Audio and MIDI data can be recorded directly into DAW software via USB. Users can also play along with WAV/MP3 tracks stored on USB memory, or record drumming performances to USB memory.

Roland’s TD-25 Series V-Drums are now available with U.S. street pricing starting at $1999.00. To learn more about the TD-25KV and TD-25K V-Drums, visit RolandUS.com.
