Roland Presents Feature Enhancements to Industry-Leading Video Switcher Products at NAB

— New feature updates to some of Roland’s most popular products on display at the 2019 NAB Show —

NAB Show, Las Vegas, NV, April 8, 2019 — Building on recently released feature enhancements for products in its expanding line of video and AV switchers and mixers, Roland (booth C7712) will showcase additional free updates for many of its most popular products products during the 2019 NAB Show. Show attendees visiting the Roland booth can experience these system software updates and companion apps on the following models:

V-1HD V2.0
The system software Ver.2.0 update for the V-1HD HD Video Switcher – Roland’s best-selling HDMI switcher – adds new features based on direct feedback from users of the V-1HD. Adjustment of additional PnP parameters is available with the new software, along with new simplified menu navigation, audio level meters in the Multi View output, and updates to the iPad, Mac and PC Remote Control Software (RCS). The V-1HD Ver.2.0 software will be available for download in late April 2019.

V-60HD and XS-62S V2.5
The V-60HD HD Video Switcher is quickly becoming the switcher choice of partner companies, including Cubie, SKAARHOJ and JVC. System software Ver.2.5 enables control of main parameters of Panasonic PTZ cameras over LAN from the V-60HD, saving the need for a dedicated camera controller. Support for JVC PTZ Cameras is already available from Ver.2.0. The XS-62S HD Video Switcher — the rack version of the V-60HD — shares the same great new features and partner support as its tabletop sister. Ver.2.5 firmware enables main parameter control of Panasonic PTZ cameras over LAN from the XS-62S, eliminating the need for a dedicated camera controller. Support for JVC PTZ cameras has already been available from Ver.2.0. The V-60HD and XS-62S Ver.2.5 software will be available for download in June 2019.

V-800HD MK II V1.5
A definitive workhorse of the live event video community, the V-800HD MK II Multi-Format Video Switcher’s system software Ver.1.50 adds workflow enhancements that make switching events even easier. Additionally, Ver.1.50 brings ultra-fine adjustment of PinP parameter (1% to 0.1%, 1% to 1dot), RS-232 command for switching of the AUX BUS, the capability to change PGM/PVW positions in the Multi-View and the assignability of AUX 10 to PGM. Additional test patterns are also now internally available. The V-800HD MK II Ver.1.50 System Update and the Utility software is available for download at https://proav.roland.com/global/products/v-800hd_mk_2/downloads/.
