LOS ANGELES, CA, January 16, 2017 – Following closely on the heels of The Bakery founder Eric Boulanger appearing at the CES convention earlier this month, another key member of the Bakery family will be offering her expertise at a major industry gathering. At the upcoming NAMM Show in Anaheim, Bakery Mastering Engineer Jett Galindo will be participating in two exciting educational events for attendees.

On Thursday, January 19, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Galindo is taking part in a series of Mentoring Sessions presented by SoundGirls.org, featuring a number of female leaders in professional audio and beyond. Attendees must be a member of SoundGirls.Org and must RSVP to soundgirls@soundgirls.org. Groups will rotate between leaders specializing in Live Sound, Recording and Mastering, Broadcast Engineering and Professional Audio Sales. Other mentors are slated to include Leslie Ann Jones (Skywalker Sound), Karrie Keyes (monitor engineer, Pearl Jam, and co-founder of SoundGirls.org), Grace Royse (Live Sound Engineer and Production Manager), Sara Elliott (VP of Operations and Co-Founder of VUE Audiotechnik), Dawn Birr (Global Commercial Manager, Sennheiser and Neumann), Fela Davis (Sound Engineer and Owner of 23db Productions), Marcia Caldwell (Broadcast and Recording Technician, NPR), Claire Murphy (Guitar and Backline Tech), Catharine Wood (Recording & Mix Engineer and Owner, Planetwood Studios), Tiffany Hendren (Live Sound, FOH and Monitor Engineer) and Jessica Berg (Tour Manager and Live Sound Engineer).

The following day, on Friday, January 20, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Galindo is part of the panel “Opportunities for Women in Media Technology,” part of the convention’s TEC Track Sessions, taking place in the TEC Lab (202 B). This panel, moderated by tech journalist and writer (CNN, CNBC and L.A. Times), video host, content strategist and entrepreneur Jessica Naziri, will focus on the challenges that women in the audio industry face every day and how the session’s panelists have remained true to themselves, all the while keeping their eye on their goals and achieving success. Other panelists include Lenise Bent, mixer engineer and producer; and Leslie Lewis, producer and president of Leslie Lewis Consulting.

Jett Galindo serves as Audio and Vinyl Mastering Engineer at The Bakery, located on the Sony Pictures Lot in Culver City. With credits spanning different genres and legendary artists (Bette Midler, Nile Rodgers and Colbie Caillat, to name a few), Jett carries on the legacy of her late mentor, mastering legend Doug Sax of The Mastering Lab. A GRAMMY® Voting Member (P&E Wing) and Latin GRAMMY® nominee, Jett is also an accomplished soprano who specializes in choral ensemble music.
