AUDIO-TECHNICA EXPANDS MICROSET®
HEADWORN MICROPHONE OFFERINGS WITH NEW WIRED OPTION— Now available in both wired and wireless versions, the AT892 MicroSet®
omnidirectional condenser headworn mic combines minimum visibility,
maximum audio quality and comfortable under-ear design —INFOCOMM, ANAHEIM, CA, June 19, 2007 — Audio-Technica has introduced a wired version of the MicroSet® subminiature omnidirectional condenser headworn microphone. Previously available only in wireless, the new AT892 MicroSet is designed to provide broadcast and video production professionals even greater versatility in situations where a hard-wired micro-miniature headworn microphone is required. The AT892 MicroSet is powered using Audio-Technica’s AT8539 power module (included). In addition, the AT8539 allows any Audio-Technica “cW” Wireless Essentials® microphone with 4-pin locking connector to be used in a wired configuration.
The MicroSet has become a top choice among broadcasters, on-camera talent, news reporters, sports commentators, theater performers, houses of worship and lecturers for its high-quality, low-profile operation and comfortable under-ear design. Blending in seamlessly and unobtrusively, the AT892 is available in a wide range of colors including classic black (AT892), theater beige (AT892-TH) and cocoa (AT892-CO).
The AT892 MicroSet subminiature omnidirectional condenser headworn microphone delivers accurate sound in a tiny package, representing the latest in miniaturization technology. Utilizing a capsule with a 2.5 mm diameter, the MicroSet offers an ergonomic, flexible, ultra-lightweight, under-ear design that is both comfortable to wear and highly secure. Its contoured earpiece stays in place even on the most animated performer/presenter and is designed to not interfere with the user’s eyeglasses. The AT892 MicroSet provides maximum intelligibility and clean, accurate reproduction for the most demanding broadcaster, video professional, church/house of worship user, lecturer or theater performer. The Audio-Technica AT892 MicroSet omnidirectional condenser wired headworn microphone includes the AT8539 power supply, two windscreens, two element covers, a cable clip and a protective carrying case.
