AUDIO-TECHNICA NAMES SCOTT SHAW
AUDIO SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST— A-T’s Audio Solutions Department continues to offer unprecedented
support to reps, dealers and end-users seeking technical
or product advice and application assistance —
INFOCOMM, ANAHEIM, CA, June 19, 2007 — Audio-Technica has appointed Scott Shaw as an Audio Solutions Specialist in support of its Audio Solutions Department. The announcement was made by Rick Joyner, Audio Solutions Manager at Audio-Technica, noting that Shaw’s appointment is the company’s latest step in augmenting its Audio Solutions Department, which is dedicated to identifying and addressing the needs of the audio community.Scott Shaw began his career in the audio industry working in the sales department of Audio Image, a high-end audio/video retailer. He then worked in the service department of Vetter Medical Equipment and prior to joining A-T held the position of Production Team Leader at Remington Manufacturing. Scott joined Audio-Technica in 2001 as a warehouse associate and has continually sought to grow within the A-T organization. Six years later he has become a Specialist in A-T’s Audio Solutions Department, where he will focus his efforts on fulfilling the informational needs of Audio-Technica’s customers, accurately fielding questions about Audio-Technica’s full range of products. Shaw is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, Gospel Music Association and Synergetic Audio Concepts (Syn-Aud-Con).
The Audio Solutions Department acts as the first point of contact for A-T’s staff, reps, dealers and end-users seeking clear technical or product advice and application assistance. Since the department’s inception, customers have expressed appreciation for this easy way to reach a support team; more than 95 percent of incoming queries are answered directly by Audio Solutions Specialists. In addition to phone consultations, the department offers online technical support, gathers feedback from the field to identify emerging trends and business opportunities, and assists in product design, development and sales.
