ERNIE HAASE & SIGNATURE SOUND SPREAD THE WORD
WITH AUDIO-TECHNICA’S ARTIST ELITE®
4000 SERIES UHF WIRELESS SYSTEMS
SUMMER NAMM SHOW, NASHVILLE, TN, June 20, 2008
— In just a few short years, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound,
a Gospel vocal quartet based in Stow, Ohio, has risen to the top of
the genre with a growing collection of prestigious awards and nominations.
The group’s sound is faithfully captured every night on tour thanks
to the Audio-Technica Artist Elite® 4000 Series UHF Wireless System
and the acclaimed AEW-T5400 cardioid condenser handheld transmitters.
“I’ve been using A-T wireless microphone systems for 15
years, and I have to say that it’s a great product backed by great
customer service,” says Ernie Haase. “No matter how tough
an RF environment we find ourselves in at a show, the 4000 Series is
always able to find a frequency. That’s peace of mind that lets
us concentrate on our music instead of on the hardware.”
Led by Haase, a 10-year veteran of one of the greatest
quartets in Gospel music, The Cathedrals, Signature Sound burst onto
the Gospel music scene with its unique blend of traditional and contemporary
vocal stylings. The group’s sound has rapidly brought in accolades
and awards: the talented quartet was named Horizon Group of the Year
and received the Favorite Group of the Year Award by subscribers of
The Singing News magazine, Southern Gospel Music’s leading fan
and trade publication. Members of the Gospel Music Association also
honored the group with multiple Dove Award nominations in 2006, including
a nomination for New Artist of the Year, as well as Southern Gospel
Album of the Year for their self-titled debut. Signature Sound’s
debut video release also garnered acclaim as it soared to the top of
Billboard Magazine’s Music Video Chart, debuting at #3 and achieving
Gold sales status by RIAA. Their sophomore project “Get Away Jordan”
debuted at #1 on the Billboard Music chart in January 2007, and the
CD and the single (bearing the same title) earned them the Southern
Gospel Album of the Year and Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year
honors at the 2008 Dove Awards.
Haase, along with lead Ryan Seaton, baritone Doug Anderson
and bass Tim Duncan, tour constantly to an ever-widening fan base –
the quartet’s tour schedule is already filling dates well into
2009 coast to coast. That kind of rigorous roadwork for a vocal group
demands impeccable wireless performance, and Signature Sound has found
what it needs with A-T’s Artist Elite 4000 Series Wireless System.
Says Haase, “We play hundreds of dates per year and have come
to rely on Audio-Technica as our microphone of choice for its consistent
performance and great sound, night after night.”
