CENTURY RECORDING, READY TO GO
— Atlanta-based
DV McCoy calls on GC Pro for a wide range of equipment including an
SSL AWS 900+ console, AVID Pro Tools|HD 3 system and Control|24 mixer,
NeKo XXL software bundle, Akai MPC and Genelec Active Monitors —
WESTLAKE
VILLAGE, CA, April 20, 2010 — Producer-artist DV McCoy is
one of the Atlanta area’s up-and-coming music figures. A producer
and an entrepreneur, DV is ready to take his private 21st Century Recording
production and mixing studio to the next level, opening it to other
artists and producers in Atlanta’s diverse and expanding music
scene and to better support his own Real McCoy Entertainment production
company and label. To make all of this happen fast and happen right,
DV turned to Guitar Center Professional
(GC Pro), the outside sales division of Guitar Center that focuses on
the needs of professional users, and the company behind an entire generation
of new music industry professionals.
GC
Pro Sales Specialist Eugene McNair gave DV access to the all of the
equipment he needed, in addition to turning him on to the technology
that will both enhance his own productions and make his new studio,
to be opened later this year, competitive in the fast-paced Atlanta
market. That includes an SSL AWS 900+ SE Analog Console, AVID Pro Tools|HD
3 system and Control|24 mixer, NeKo XXL software bundle, Akai Professional
MPC, and Genelec 1038B Active Monitors and 7071A Active Subwoofer.
“GC
Pro and Eugene have been a blessing to me,” says DV, who works
in hip-hop and reggae genres. “He’s knowledgeable, friendly
and fair in his opinions, as is everyone at GC Pro. They’ve always
steered me straight.”
McNair
stated, “DV was looking to design a room to compete with the major
studios in Atlanta without having to spend a fortune in the process.
Working closely with him, I was able to put together a system that not
only met his budgetary needs, but was right for the clientele he was
aiming to attract. He was a pleasure to work with, and we are very proud
of this system and to have him as a client.”
DV
notes that it was McNair who suggested the SSL AWS 900+ console to him,
pointing out that when it came to opening a commercial studio, brand
names mattered to potential clients. “People know the name, but
they also know that it’s a full console, not just a mixing surface,”
he explains. “It adds plenty of credibility right from the start
for the new studio and for me as a business owner. GC Pro is a great
company to have in your corner.”
