GC PRO DELIVERS THE GOODS FOR RED SPYDA

— GC Pro sourced and sold the majority of the new studio’s gear
and was the famed producer’s main resource for information and technology —

119th AES CONVENTION, NEW YORK, NY, October 7, 2005 — GC Pro, the dedicated professional audio division of Guitar Center, Inc. (Nasdaq: GTRC), is the one-stop pro audio resource for noted hip-hop producer Red Spyda, who recently purchased an SSL AWS 900 console and Digidesign® Pro Tools®|HD3 workstation at GC Pro’s Manhattan outlet.

Red Spyda is known for his acclaimed production and beat work with artists such as 50 Cent, Eminem, Lil’ Kim, Genuine, Amerie and Sean Paul, along with his remarkable remixes of tracks from rap legends The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur. He has come to regard his local GC Pro outlet as his primary resource for pro audio technology, support and advice. Spyda made excellent use of that resource when he purchased a Solid State Logic AWS 900 Analogue Workstation System and Digidesign Pro Tools|HD3 system from GC Pro for his personal studio, the Spydadome, in Manhattan.

“Blue Wilding, the account manager I worked with at GC Pro, and all his crew there showed me a lot of love,” says Spyda. “They are the best. GC Pro is where I go to get lots of the things I need on an everyday basis, like cables and connectors. But when it came time to get the big stuff, GC Pro was all there for me, giving me advice and support to make sure what I got was the right stuff for me.”

Spyda recently took delivery of the AWS 900 and Pro Tools system and had it installed at the Spydadome, which was designed by New York-based Mick Corey. “GC Pro helped me with everything, including the wiring, which was great,” Spyda adds. “The console is great. I especially like the EQ. The EQs on the 900 are the best. And it lets me run the session from the console, not the keyboard, which is the way I prefer to work. GC Pro made sure that I have what I need to make great music.”
