FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Guitar Center partners with Gretsch and introduces the Streamliner Cateye Center Block limited-edition electric guitar

Limited-edition model with new Broad’Tron BT-3S pickups, chambered center block for sustain, and a bold olive drab finish with black hardware

Westlake Village, CA (March 13, 2025) – The Gretsch Streamliner Cateye Center Block limited-edition electric guitar is now available exclusively at Guitar Center. This limited-edition model blends classic Gretsch aesthetics with contemporary performance, offering a distinctive design and powerful tonal capabilities.

The Streamliner features a striking olive drab finish, complemented by unique cat-eye F-holes that set it apart visually. Designed for players seeking both style and substance, the guitar is equipped with all-new Broad’Tron BT-3S pickups. These humbuckers utilize a combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets, delivering a well-balanced sound with strong midrange presence, tight bass response, and clear, smooth highs. The versatile pickup configuration allows players to achieve a range of tones, from warm vintage-inspired sounds to aggressive, high-gain textures. A control layout that includes individual pickup volume controls, a master volume, a master tone, and a three-way toggle switch provides extensive tonal shaping options.

The guitar’s arched laminated maple body features a chambered center block, designed to enhance sustain and resonance while minimizing feedback. This lightweight construction ensures comfortable playability without sacrificing the full, dynamic tone that Gretsch guitars are known for. Paired with an Adjusto-Matic bridge and a Gretsch V-Stoptail, the guitar offers solid tuning stability and reliable intonation for a consistent playing experience. With a 24.75" scale length, 22 medium jumbo frets and black pearloid small blocks inlays, the double-cutaway body design allows easy access to higher frets, while the gloss-finished Nato neck with a Laurel fingerboard ensures smooth playability. The addition of black hardware complements the olive drab finish, reinforcing the guitar’s bold, modern aesthetic.

Combining classic Gretsch character with contemporary enhancements, the Streamliner Cateye Center Block limited-edition electric guitar is built for musicians who demand both vintage charm and modern performance. Available exclusively at Guitar Center, this model offers a unique blend of style, comfort, and dynamic tone.

The Gretsch Streamliner Cateye Center Block limited-edition electric guitar is now available and priced at $549.99 (MAP).
