FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Waves Audio Now Shipping Bass Slapper Plugin

The NAMM Show, Anaheim, California, January 25, 2018Waves Audio (booth 15301), a leading provider of digital signal processing solutions and digital music production tools, is now shipping the Waves Bass Slapper, an addition to its expanding line of virtual instruments.

Slap bass is one of the most popular styles of bass playing. Over the years there have been many attempts to sample the sound and recreate it as a virtual instrument, but nothing has come close to the sound of recording a great bass player who has mastered this technique.

Until now.

This plugin lets you recreate, on your keyboard, the realistic nuances of a seasoned bass player, with complete control over every note and articulation, including thumbing, popping, hammer-ons, pull-offs, open strings and dead notes.

Waves Bass Slapper includes the most extensive sample library ever created of special bass guitar sounds, including slides, mutes and harmonic strums. It also offers intuitive position and articulation controls that let you determine precisely where to play on the fretboard, which strings to thumb or pop, when to play legato or staccato, and much more.
For endless tonal possibilities, Bass Slapper includes studio-grade stompbox effects, detailed tone controls from vintage warmth to modern punch, and your choice of clean DI or authentic amp sounds.

From funk and soul to rock, hip hop, metal and beyond, Bass Slapper puts convincing slap bass sounds at your keyboard-playing fingertips, anytime, anywhere.

Waves Bass Slapper features:

  • The most elaborate slap bass sample library ever created
  • Adaptive fretboard with 11 playing positions
  • Detailed articulations of slap, pop, hammer-ons, pull-offs, and both left- and right-hand mutes across five strings
  • Real-time MIDI controls
  • Customizable Keyswitch Editor
  • Studio-quality pedalboard effects
  • Detailed tone controls including four-band EQ, sub octave and low boost
