FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Waves announces eMo IEM: immersive in-ear mixing software for eMotion LV1 mixers

— No external hardware needed —

Knoxville, TN, September 16, 2024Waves Audio, the world’s leading developer of professional audio signal processing technologies and plugins, announces eMo IEM, an immersive in-ear monitor mixing plugin for eMotion LV1 mixers.

eMo IEM offers 360-degree panning for in-ear mixing at the click of a button, bringing clarity, openness, and comfort to in-ear monitors in live shows. No expensive external hardware or complex routing is needed: simply set the monitors output of the Waves eMotion LV1 mixer to “Immersive,” and the performers will receive immersive monitor sound in their in-ears.

Traditional stereo in-ear monitors can feel constrained, unrealistic and unnatural, often causing frustration and discomfort for performers. Their limited spatial representation does not accurately reflect humans’ natural hearing experience, which can result in an inadequate performance. The eMo IEM improves the in-ear experience by providing an immersive, three-dimensional listening environment in in-ear monitors.

The eMo IEM provides panning control that can be easily controlled directly from the eMotion LV1 mixer or remotely, using the Waves MyMon and MyFOH mobile/tablet apps. Performers can fine-tune their immersive mix from the stage or anywhere in the venue. eMo IEM enables 360-degree panning of all mix elements, allowing both performers and live sound engineers to precisely control the panning of each vocal or instrumental element.

eMo IEM is powered by Waves’ proven Nx binaural technology, which recreates an immersive acoustic environment over headphones and in-ears. The DSP-efficient algorithms replicate the natural auditory experience of a real-world 3D environment, offering live performers a more comfortable in-ear sound with more realistic detail than traditional stereo monitoring.

Waves Live General Manager, Noam Raz comments, “I am excited to introduce the Waves eMo IEM to our users. It is our commitment to provide cutting-edge solutions that enhance the live sound experience. With eMo IEM, we are making immersive in-ear monitoring more accessible and user-friendly, allowing our customers to focus on delivering top-notch performances."

eMo IEM Features:

  • Immersive sound for clear, comfortable in-ear monitoring
  • No external hardware required
  • Controlled from the eMotion LV1 mixer and the MyMon & MyFOH mobile/tablet apps
  • Freely place each instrument in the 360-degree sound field
