The NAMM Show, Anaheim, CA, January 22, 2015 – Clair Global, the premier global sound reinforcement provider, recently purchased a 25-unit RedNet interface system for Usher’s “UR Experience” Tour, which kicked off November 2014 at the Montreal Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This marks the largest U.S. sale of a RedNet system, which is Focusrite’s (booth 6464) cutting-edge range of networked audio interfaces based around the industry-standard Dante® Ethernet audio networking system.
RedNet technology will allow FOH mixer Horace Ward, whose clients include Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige and more, to utilize RedNet's studio-grade Microphone Pre Amps in a live touring application. RedNet’s audio-over-IP gigabit network architecture allows connection of various audio device types throughout the system, streamlining its functionality and design.
Ward comments, “We tried the RedNet 4 Mic Pre units and were thrilled with the powerful sound that we heard coming through the Clair PA during a full system test at Clair Global’s headquarters. I was immediately impressed and decided on the spot to incorporate the RedNet system."
The Clair system for the “UR Experience” worldwide arena tour is composed of the following RedNet devices: 96 channels of RedNet 4 Microphone Pre Amps operating at 96 kHz; RedNet 6 MADI Bridge units to feed the DiGiCo SD5 mixing consoles, RedNet 5 HD Bridge devices (for connection to Pro Tools HD®) handling recording of 96 tracks; RedNet 1 & 2 A/D – D/A analog units for outboard device processing; and 96 channel RedNet PCIe for backup recording via Reaper™ software.
Focusrite President Phil Wagner adds, “Everyone at Focusrite is pleased to see Clair Global’s and Horace Ward’s commitment to RedNet. RedNet’s incredible sound quality and system flexibility will provide amazing results for Ward on his present tour with Usher. We are incredibly happy to be involved and can’t wait to hear it on the road.”
